Would this be middle-of-the-road?

I know this is the wrong section, but I'm trying to get real answers out of this...especially from women, because I want to know if this is average for the average girl.
I was watching a movie today..and this scene came up where a guy raped this girl..I started crying so fruitless and I don't know why. I couldn't watch it so I closed my eyes but I could still hear it and it still upset me just the same. It wasn't crying out of consternation, more of like...emotion i guess. My friend told me I might have a repressed memory? I've be abused and sexually harrassed and I remember most of that, why wouldn't I remember something that big? What do you think? Is it normal to get that upset over seeing or audible range about rape?

i'm sorry!

That is completely normal.
it have been 12 years since it happened to me and i still get excited, and feel awkward when certain guys try to talk to me. or are surrounded by touching range from me. but it always makes me grain better when i talk to my husband about it, he gets upset too. and when we be dating i didn't want to tell him, but its the best way of venting so i did..

anyways, it's majority. don't worry things will get better. slowly but eventually.
Well, if you like you said went through those same exact experiences just resembling on the tv it is normal to be upset because it brings back bad memories.
It doesn't mean you enjoy a repressed memory. It probably means you were empathising with the distress and pain the character was experiencing. It's a disturbing point to watch and it brings many people to tears -- especialadjectiveswomen.
It probably just brought back older memories. Even if nothing that big ever happened. I get upset too, but not that bleak. Even if it did happen, at least it's in times gone by now. :) I hope you feel better.
