Are tampons flushable?

Answers:
I've never not flushed a tampon for former times 10 years and I have had no problems. The applicator is not flush-able, but the tampon is.
the sure aren't! if you have a regular "flow" and flush all those puppies down the toilet they can turn into a mega monster down surrounded by the septic tank. then you'll get a support up and your yard will be flooded with you families "waste" and i don't have a sneaking suspicion that the neighbors wanna see that :D
No.
no most arent
unless you get a package that says "flushable" contained by the front
i got a pack that was flushable and yes it was flushable:)
My mom got angry at me after I told her that I flushed them, but I still do. Nothing happens. Not the plastic part though!
You can flush them but it's better to wrap them in tissue and throw them in the trash can.
i guess it depends on your sewer system
i do,
i flush everything. wrapper, applicator, you get what i mean
No, they catch on roots and things within the sewer. Nothing more embarrassing sounding than plumber having to unclog tampon filled sewer. Source(s): father contained by law is plumber
depends,
if its cardboard next the answer is yes.
but if its a plastic applicator then no.
(:

answer mine??

You can but the pipes will get clogged up
NO!
yess u can flush the actual tampon but not the applicator...ive been flushing tampons for years and never had a problem
haha NO
No ! not apt Source(s): my sister flooded our bath room doing this. -.-
yes but they could screw up your cesspool.
I always flush mine. Just not the plastic part.
Some applicators are (the cardboard kind) but not the actual tampon. Make sure you check the box before flushing an applicator.
No, they'll clog up the toilet and you'll have to telephone a plumber to get it out. How embarrassing!! :D
the ob yeah, the larger ones resembling peral or tampex...or the Super ones I would say no
no, they expand and stop up the sewer.
Certainly not! They expand, become drained and shredded, then clog sewers and toilets. Try wrapping the tampon in toilet paper and hiding it lower than some trash in the trashcan. Don't flush it though.
NO
no they arent really i have but i wouldnt. i plugged it with them formerly
no.
not at adjectives.
yes, it's better if you flush five at a time though.
No way.
it's funny how i read everyones answers saying no, and then i realized that ive be flushing them for past years. ahahahah:) nothing happened, i guess i know very soon? :p
they are flushable. pads are not.
actually, i know tampax cardboard tampons are flushable. i'm not sure in the order of the other types. i'm sure the tampon itself is flushable, no matter what brand. the little plastic or cardboard protector is probably flushable.
i've been flushing all of my (super sized) tampons down the toilet for years, even toilets that bring back clogged with a small amount of toilet paper, but the tampons have never be a problem.
yes
no, thats what the little box on the side of the womens stall is for, or a trashcan. Source(s): time
Nope,i muse there's a warning on the box they came in too......
