It is possible to brake your hymen from plentiful different ways. Sports, Ballet especially if you are doing the splits, horseback riding, fingering yourself, using tampons for your period.
Just google Vagina anatomy there are lots of sites. But remember EVERY girl is somewhat different so don't be scared if it doesn't look exactly like you.

It's a tiny piece of skin, you wouldn't see anything different if it did break, there may be some bleeding. It's not a big deal though.
