Tampons. Please Help!?

ok, so this will be a very embarrassing question that i'm probably going to delete afterwards but anyways, I've be trying to get a tampon in, but i'm scared even though i've tried copious times. Besides the fact that i'm scared, i have found my ''hole'' (blah that feel wrong say/type lol) but, i have flaps over it. well ok, it looks like this:

the arrow head are the flaps: ---->0<----

except the flaps are covering th hole, unless you seperate them lol. is it normal?
I now that this is sort of a wrong question but, i have to ask. Please don't be rude.

I believe to be exact your hymen if I'm not mistaken. If not they could be your Lower Lavias or whatever they are called, I'm no gynecologist just trying to back. Tampons are bad use a pad. Source(s): Health class in middle university
absolutely run of the mill! i have the same problem! although its not exactly a bad article. use a mirror if you want, when insterting a tampon. or just stand over the toilet with one foot on the ground, and just delicately push the tampon around the hole without looking (or with a mirror) until it goes surrounded by. good luck.
truth is, i didnt feel a thing when i put within a tampon for the first time. i didnt even feel it go in. you may have a feeling a little pain but of course it go away after a few times.
I'm glad you asked. I had that question too. Anyway, yeah you're normal and I'm still startled to use tampons too. No biggie.
Yes, that's normal. everyone has them...or at least deeply of people do?
do you know how to properly use a tampon? if you don't, grab the box and read carefully on how to "insert". if you still don't find it, grab your mom or another trusted adult female and ask them something like it.

good luck! hope i helped? : ) have a great time chica! : ) Source(s): experience i guess?
lol. Don't be embarrassed to ask, I have the same problem too!

Yes, it is ordinary to have flaps there =P
The first few times your put a tampon in it will hurt and bit, but i.e. normal.
I suggest putting one foot up on the toilet seat or sit with your knees spread far-reaching apart. When you try to put it in make sure you are relaxed!

Don't be scared, as long as your remember to lug it out after 4-8 hours, there is nothing to worry just about!!
Hunny it sounds perfectly normal. The flaps cover the hole to protect the vagina. You will need to section your legs and squat. This will help separate them and will make it easier for you to insert a tampon.

Take care :)
I think your trying to insert the tampon in the wrong hole. It doesn't go contained by the one with the flaps on it it goes behind that, you merely have to kind of push the tampon around until you feel approaching it's going up but don't force it slowly push it.
yeah it is mine is like that too even though i havent had my period my mom requirements me to practice putting one in and takin it out so i cant really help bc i with the sole purpose can get it in half mode
Girl, I know what you're saying... First, make sure you're relaxed. It can't go within if you're tensed. It should just slide on in if you're relaxed. And your position may be wrong too. Did you read the directions on the box? It should say that girls can any do it while they're sitting on the toilet, and some do it standing up with one foot resting on the toilet seat. Ya know, it's hard to be totally relaxed. Many times, women don't even realize they're tensing up until they finally completely relax. So, try a different position and relax by thinking of something relaxing while doing it. Try not to come up with about the fact that it's going in at adjectives. Also, when the tampon's going in, you should push the tampon in the direction of your back, not straight up. It say it on the box is how I know. Also, don't be afraid to try it more than once. If you have to throw away one or two tampons cause it didn't work, and you need to try it again, that's okay. Good luck. ;) Source(s): p.s. if the tampon hurts after you go and get it in, it's probably not far up enough. ;)
thats labia [vagina lips] push them aside
yes your are normal.
