you should wear a tampon anyways. you don't want a wad to stick out from the side ! either way you need one of them. You don't want to be bleeding within your bathing suit. wear a new tampon, If you're staying for more than 4 hours I suggest you bring an extra in a bag. Source(s): brains
You have a prevailing conditions flow. If you go in the water next to a pad or no pads on, some blood may be flows in marine. Try practicing on tampons now, before it's too late.
Swimming beside pads is not the best idea. Only with tampons.
-Good luck(:

The epoxy resin stuff that makes the panty liner stick will disolve when wet for too long. It'll come right off. There's zilch more embarrasing than a panty liner sticking out of your bathing suit. So be careful not to get wet down in that.
Do not use a wipe or pantyliner in the water. The pad will crowd up with water like a diaper. If you can't or won't use a tampon or diva cup, Stay Out of the Water.

not a good idea. pad are terrible uncomfortable when they get adjectives soggy and wet and stuff. go figure out that tampon.
I would not wear a pad. Even though your medium flow I would still wear a tampon. Because when you do go swimming you don't hold to worrier about anything. Tampons on much better
Ah if you can't use the tampon then the pantie liner would be your best bet. Just make sure you get an extra 2. Before my girlfriend started using tampons to take care of it she would use the pantie liners, but she made sure to other bring an extra two on top of the one she already had on before going out only just in case she started to feel mortified.
So as long as you pack about 2 or 3 you should be fine. Just leave them in your purse for when you involve them or you start to feel uncomfortable.
