12 year frail and tampons...?

I had my period since i was 11 and i be wondering if it would be ok to wear tampons. My mom bought them and she told me to try them and if i feel even slightly uncompfortable to take it out...Except she bought the playtex Sports so is that ok?

Yes I think that it would be ok to wear a tampon but if you feel in any channel uncomfortabletake it out because tampons are the cause Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) that can be fatal. If you experience any of these symptoms:
* High fever that appears suddenly
* Muscle ache
* Diarrhea
* Dizziness and/or fainting
* Sunburn-like rash
* Sore throat
* Bloodshot eyes
remove your tampon immediately and see a doctor. Also here are some tips that will sustain you prevent this disease:

* Follow package directions for insertion.
* Choose the lowest absorbency for your flow.
* Change your tampon at least every 4 to 8 hours.
* Consider alternating pads near tampons.
* Know the warning signs of toxic shock syndrome
* Don’t use tampons between periods.

Slender tampons work best for first timers but you could give sports a shot! Just relax, if your all tensed up the tampon wont stir in. slowly push it up don't force it. It may take some time to get used to though, i get my period when i was 13 and just started using tampons surrounded by january and i'm 15..

I've had friends who've worn tampons when they freshly got their periods; the reasons can rise and fall of course. It could be because you dont have to change it as recurrently as a pad or whatever. But just spawn sure you dont leave it in for long and especially at night because it could effect an infection, but if you change it every 5- 6 hours, I believe, you should be fine.

It's fine for you to wear tampons. Start off with the smallest ones (for table lamp flow- I'm guessing that's what your mum got for you). Read the instructions and take your time. Ask your mum if you need counsel :)

Yes, it is definitely fine to wear tampons. At first it will perceive a bit uncomfortable, but if you persevere and read the instructions, then you'll be fine. Remember to not set out in for more than 4-6 hours. That brand is definitely okay to use and you will get used to finding the product that best suits you. If this type isn't slightly right for you, then try something different. Tampons are great because you can still participate in sport/swimming and you don't have a feeling like you're wearing a giant diaper all the time.
