I'm considering going on it because of my periods, but i hear that you gain weight from it, and it cause cancer?Answers: The pill can marginally increase cancer risk (and by this I mean that it MIGHT increase the destiny by about 1% over your lifetime). However, it also help REDUCE the risk of ovarian, uterine and endometrial cancers, so here IS an upside.
As for weight gain, it is to some extent rare, and if it does appear it is usually less than 5-10 lbs, and normally is attributable to water retention.
Other side effects -- if they come about -- can easily be remedied by simply switching formulations. The worst of the worst are usually severe headache, breakthrough bleeding and an increase in acne (but most of these dissipate inside the first 3 months of usage -- again IF they occur at all).

Sweetie, I've been in that! I started my period near I was 9 years old(!!) and it be always VERY starchy and VERY painful. I'm worried that I have breast cancer... i get checked a couple months ago, the doc. just feel my breast for lumps and he didnt find anything but... a few months ago i noticed my nipple be shaped kinda weird and after yesturday i noticed matching thing. But it doesnt look close to that all the time, it comes and go. I am very worried. Also, I dont really know my biological dad and his kinfolk so I dont know if breast cancer runs on his side of the family or not. But on my moms side I dont ponder it does. Meaning at the 21 light of day mark, when that would be my final pill, I take another pill on daylight 22.I can't have any more children, tubes are tied and so it seem pointless to have a length at my age, I'm sick of it. I am still bleeding and it is Day 12?
In September, I was treated for an ovarian cyst. During this time I have just gotten sour my BCP, I was have unprotected sex with my husband, and he just came surrounded by me one time. I had a majority period. Then I wait a whole cycle and I started my extent on October 3rd like I be suppose to and I started taking my BCP again. I also started taking Prozac as well. My husband come to see me, as he is in the military and is stationed at another plinth right now. He and I be having unprotected sex from the 4th to the 12th of October. Today is the 15th and I am still bleeding. That is 12 days already, thanfully it is incredibly light and not stocky at all! But my period are normally singular 3-4 days long.
