How far out can ultrasounds be?

i have have 2 ultrasounds in the first trimester.i wasnt sure of how far gone i was i have lost a good friend and thought i have missed my period due to stress and upset.i go to a clinic and took a pregnancy test which be negative and i would own been at most minuscule 6 weeks after conceiving if i got pregnant back the first missed period.go back the week after as they said i could hold been surrounded by very hasty pregnancy,it was positive.organised an hasty scan which said i was in the order of 4 and a half weeks.the subsequent scan said i was 11 weeks 2 days which be within a week correct of the first scan.what i am trying to read out is could the ultrasound be much further out than this twice at such an early stage as within the baby would be 4 or 5 weeks elder than expected?sorry if this question is confusing tried to bring back all info in!

Ultrasound is fairly an accurate means of assessing obstetrics, that's one of the reason why it is used. The accuracy of the scan, as with everything else in existence is operator dependent. The considerable majority of sonographers are extremely competent but 5 weeks is a big difference. You need to speak to someone because somethings a miss at hand. Get the sonographer or GP to explain what is going on because most of this 'misinformation' is always largely due to patients not fully kind what is being said. Not the patients blemish, it's just usually one of those things. You pregnancy is not in any menace because your baby will arrive when it is due, what is a concern beside such a big difference in time frame is that your 2nd trimester scan will be a month too early, which can be problematic, and perceptibly when everyone thinks your due you will simply be 35 weeks. I really don't expect this too happen, but speak to someone as soon as you can love.

Yes what happen is an intial 'due date' is given from your last LMT, which surrounded by itself is accurate enough. From this, as you know, you are appointed a date for your first trimester. This is done usually at 10-12 weeks. It is here that your newborn's measurments are taken (crown-rump length etc...) so during this scan the sonographer will be able to confirm merely how far pregnant you are from his or her scan measurments. If you have be given a due date of Jan, and your baby be actually due within Dec, then in attendance would be a massive problem. But the system is set up so these catastrophic mistakes are not made. I hope I am making myself clear, it can be hard to do on here in need speaking to you. This is why you should get an appointment tomorrow beside your GP and have them explain it to you face-face. I'm sure the date you have be given are accurate but too be sure go to the doctors. Good Luck !!

Do you regret getting an abortion?

my ultrasounds are rap on but thats because i knew the date i concieved.

however, ive never hear of it being as far wrong as 4 or five weeks, thats fairly a long time pregnancy wise.

nouns would be at a different and more advanced stage so they would be able to bring up to date from that, i know ultrasounds can be out by a few weeks but iv never heard of one person as far out as 4 or 5 weeks

good luck beside the pregnancy xx
