It could be multiple things. You must see a doctor as soon as you can. The gyno may suggest to receive onto birth control, and if you are young or not even have sex, this is not anything to be afraid or shy going on for. Birth control regulates your period. Cause it to come almost other (for most women) every 28 or 29 days. You will know when to expect it almost down to evening or morning. As for you heavy bleeding, this can be a lead to of many things. You may hold had blood contained by your urine. If you are young, unusual periods is adjectives, but you must share ALL your information with the doctor so they can support. Blood in women can be from pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy (extreme pain), kidney stones, bladder problems...etc. Most feasible you need to regulate your menstrual cycle.

It be your period. If you are an athlete, period are irregular.
Some girls that are athletes don't get period until their late teens. If it really is concerning you. Go bring back it checked out. Maybe birth control will help hold them regular.
Good luck!
