I have iud's off and on over the years, and intermittantly have problems with them. They would work fine for a year, consequently bleeding would happen non stop.

Before menopause, I elected for depo provera shots. I loved them, they carried me right into menopause near no periods.

Each personality is different, what works for one person, may not work for another. If you are comfortable next to your iud, then progress with that. If you are have side effects you don't like, discuss a swing with your doctor or at your local people planning clinic.
