Period and sex?

so i had my period and it be odd cause on the third afternoon it was like going away. it be light and like brownish color at the come to an end.
but it was odd mete out like it was stopping and coming so i dont know if somethings wrong near me. and is it possible that you can get an STD if you and your partner never had sex? also how do you know if you do enjoy an STD? after you have sex is it natural that you bring back a vaginal discharge after you stopped i dont know im scared help?

Well it depends on what you describe as "sex." It is definitely possible to get an STD minus having penis-in-vagina intercourse, if that's what you mean. If you hold any kind of itching, burning, rashes, unusual discharge or agony then yes, you may have an STD. However, it is also possible to own one and have no symptoms. The only method to know for sure is to see a doctor. I know it's very hard, but try not to work yourself up over it; that will merely make you feel worse. Many STDs are curable, and most but for all are treatable to some degree, so don't hysterics until you know something is wrong.

In answer to your question about discharge, it is mundane after sex to have a clear or slightly milky discharge. It may be very diaphanous or slightly sticky, but if it is clumpy, greenish or yellowish, or has a bad smell, you may hold an infection.

In short: I would see a doctor or drop into Planned Parenthood. If you are having period trouble it may not be a fruitless idea to get a pregnancy assessment while you are at it, just to be safe.

This happen to me a few times when I switched birth control. Spotting is a normal symptom of a lot of birth control. I don't know of any STDs that exact this, but if you're having unprotected sex with someone (ie minus a condom) you both should get STD tests anyway. Usually they'll donate them for free when you get your pap and stuff.

period can change in length month to month so unless you presume you may have an STD, which as far as im aware can only be caught by skin to skin contact within that area im sure you are fine
