Miscarriage, birth control and time?

Hi, i am just wondering if anyone kno's the ans to this. After a miscarriage they say it take 4-6wks for you to get your period again. Well i own just finished taking the pill yesterday so my period should be due this week, (4wks since m/c), if it dosn't come this week later should i start taking pill again when due OR wait the extra 2wks.

I am goin to go to docs on fri if i don't own it by friday and check with them but i am just asking on the rotten chance that anyone else has experienced this

Thanks contained by advance

Answers:    It takes the body more or less 4-6 weeks to naturally reset the usual hormonal cycle to re-establish the usual month cycle after a miscarriage. However, you are not trying to do that, and the birth control pill will be managing the hormone end of things. That human being the case, you should have a muted withdrawal bleed this week. It may not actually start until your third morning after the last pill, and it will be very frothy I should imagine. Probably not at all what you would usually enjoy, so don't expect it. You may also have a few odd clots, depending on if you have a D&C after the miscarriage. You would most certainly not be pregnant, so even if you didn't have a bleed the doctor would not be vastly concerned if you did skip this one. They would most likely have you steal the second pill pack, starting on schedule, and see what happened after the second bag. Do not wait to start your second pill pack, as that will seriously disrupt the cycle. If you like, the doctor can other do a pregnancy test to reassure you, or you can use an at home test yourself. It's okay, your body will still be recovering somewhat but the pill should be helping that along.
