Mammography?

I am 35yrs old with 1 child. I have my first mamo 4/2 was called put a bet on 4/14 for u/s and special views. Tech's couldn't find anything on u/s but still shows up on mamo 1 inch dense area, (can't feel) recommend biopsy. Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer within Dec 07 her cancer and my spot are on the same side same area. Should I be worried? Can Ultrasound miss things? Not human being seen at breast center until next Monday.

I would recomend adoing the biopsy, its the with the sole purpose way to be sure there can be adjectives kinds of non malignant things ( fibrocystic breast disese etc) that show up on X-ray but are bening. they recomend the biopsy tdue to family history so win that and then go from at hand

While there is ALWAYS the possibility for cancer - especially with a inherited history - there's no need to fret over something you at this moment have no control over.

Ultrasounds are well brought-up diagnostic tools, but they're only as good as the technician...so yes, they CAN miss things. This is probably the function for the biopsy, to rule out the possibility of cancer.

Try not to worry too much, and just be indebted you have a doctor that is extremely aggressive in your care!

When be your first time?

Please don't verbs it will only make you perceive worse. The biopsy needs to be done to rule out an abnormality. Younger women do have denser breasts and unfortunatly it is sometimes impossible to speak about off of the mammograms and ultrasound in your crust. A lot of biopsies come back negative, so basically try to stay positive.

How can you put in the picture if you own a uterine fibroid?

It is normal to be worried. They perform multiple test to determine different things. They biopsy almost anything in the US since we have the chief lawsuit numbers but it is better to be safe than sorry.

And if there is something near, it would not get much worse over the course of 7 days. When you are worried and thinking the worse, 7 days is a long time.
