Answers: Okay, I am going to type out, word-for-word what my Pill drug pamphlet says in the region of vomiting after taking the pill.
1.) The girl above that said "vomiting is normal for taking the pill" is absolutely WRONG unless your girlfriend is importantly allergic to it... which is very ABNORMAL in most cases. VOMITING IS NOT A NORMAL OR COMMON SIDE-EFFECT OF THE PILL!! I am reading the side-effects right in a minute! Nausea is normal, NOT vomiting!
2.) I use Yaz...my drug information is a rule-of-thumb for almost all birth controls, so this is what your girlfriend requests to do:
From the drug information:
If you have vomiting (within 3-4 hours after taking your pill) or diarrhea and you miss ONE ACTIVE PILL in WEEK 1 of your pack bring another pill - this means, you will have taken 2 pills for the afternoon...
Because she needs to take two pills, she desires to remember that by taking the 2nd pill after she vomited, she will need to make sure that she open a new pack to take a pill from it sometime this month (BEFORE HER PLACEBO PILLS) so that she is NOT short 1 pill for the month.
My pamphlet say that you do not need to use a backup method IF you have taken the 2nd pill after she vomited.
IF SHE DID NOT, YOU NEED TO USE BACKUP...and for sheltered measures, use a condom for several days afterwards.
3.) PLEASE CALL EITHER a.) PLANNED PARENTHOOD OR THE BIRTH CONTROL CLINIC or b.) YOUR BEST BET IS TO CALL THE ACTUALLY PILL COMPANY THAT MAKES HER PILLS TO TELL THEM THE SITUATION AND WHAT TO DO!

That pill is gone, unfortunately. You can't count on that pill working now, so you'll probably want to lug the next pill in the pack.
What I want to know is why you haven't call a local family planning clinic to discuss this issue? Call your doctor or local Planned Parenthood and ask them questions approaching this. They hear them all the time and will be able to share you, reliably, the exact thing you should do.
Next time, try taking the pill at night instead of during the year. That way you can sleep off the nausea. Also, this nausea will probably travel away over time. It did for me at least.
if it was an busy pill, she needs to take another from another pack. it must be within her body for at least an hour! if she misses it, her chance of pregnancy rises.
