also, when i get home from school, i had a shower, and put another wad on. since then (about 3 hours) there have been no blood. Is this normal? will it come rear soon?

Answers: Everything you're going through is totally everyday, so don't worry. At the beginning (3 months - 24 months), period can change in how they appear or even how commonly (you might skip it for a few months the first year) and then they start to regulate more.
That "slimy" stuff is just the part of the pack of your uterine lining that is sluffing sour (that's what a period is), mixed with blood. It's totally ordinary. Usually, you'll have a few "heavy" days with greatly more blood, etc. and then it will start to taper off and should be completely gone contained by 4-8 days.
Also, I know you're probably pretty young and don't need this info presently, but I wish someone would have told me:
The morning you start your period (each time) is called Day 1 and you ovulate on Day 14. Day 14 is the morning you can get pregnant! (and also the days around Day 14) So, whenever you do become sexually active (even if that's approaching in 20 years or when you get married, or whatever), hold that in mind!!

PERFECTLY NORMAL :)because when you showered, you washed away the bits of blood around your vagina, it wouldn't wipe onto the towel because nearby is nothing to wipe onto! you're periods still in that, its fine :)
it kinda sucks, but you get used to it! i'm 12 and have have mine for about a year now and the solitary bit that bothers me is that i sometimes get light tummy ache before it, but no worrys, light exersize get rid of it!

no every woman thinks she wishes it until she experiences it. It really isn't all it had be cracked up to be is it? If it is your first period then yes it is conventional for it to only last for a few hours or later for a long time. Your body is getting used to everything the same way you are. You will become more regular within time. It is a horrible slimy experience most of the time but everybody is different and everything will work it's way out.Welcome to womanhood!!
It's perfectly middle-of-the-road for your period to be reddish/browny in colour and the slimey stuff is discharge.
The time flow lessens for a while after bathing/showering but it should continue as middle-of-the-road after a few hours or a day.
Lol, periods can suck but I deduce having periods and experiencing pregnancy/child birth make women very special.
Everything is normal! I have the same "slimy stuff" lol. The blood will come back soon...you won't constantly be bleeding or pouring blood=].and yeah i considered necessary my 1st period badly and oh man, would i dispense anything to get rid of them...i have calamitous cramping and terrible periods...and be sure to hold ibuprofen or midol on hand in shield you get cramps. Also, using a heating wipe works wonders for period pain along near hot showers/baths. Hope i helped!=]

Yes this is perfectly average. You may find that you won't be regular either in the first year or so they will be really erratic.
The colour is mundane and you will find it'll get better with time.
But if you perceive any foul smelling discharge (mucus) then get it checked out.
But for immediately you are perfectly normal hun

Brown is Ok. that happen a lot! and the first couple of days it is very average to get lighter and darker or heavier and lighter.and taking a hot shower or tub slows my period down too. so I would say explicitly normal too. I usually start having cramps in the order of the second day. if you need to some Tylenol should sustain with that. Welcome to woman hood!!

Just make sure you keep yourself verbs and always have pad to hand just surrounded by case!! xxAw bless! yeah, you're right, we all want it so we're adjectives grown up, but it's a nightmare! You get used to it though and it doesn't stop you doing anything. The brown stuff is "old" blood that was probably brewing since your first period actually arrived, so to be exact normal and it does have a susceptibility to be a bit on the slimy side. Your period isn't a constant flow so it is also normal for it to stop and start, but very soon because it has started, make sure you prepare yourself next to pads and tampons when you go out to avoid accident. Because you have started, it will be quite irregular for a bit, but eventually you will see a outline forming and be able to plan in mortgage.
