My wife has problem of Hypothyroidism and she wants to use birth control pills for birth control. She insists me not using condoms as protection. But she fears that using birth control pills might create a problem for her to get pregnant subsequently on while having her thyroid problem too. What can be the chances of that happening ?

And how can the fell of my wife be affected if she uses birth control pills (Keep in mind the thyroid problem too).
What else can be suggested for birth control which might be safer and not cause much problems to my wife.

I love her so much and want the best for her.
