it can break from sports, an injury etc. it can also break from sex. it does not make the "hole" bigger. it is a thin membrane that covers the vagina, after it is broke it is gone, but does NOT affect the size of the vagina. noone can explain to if you are a virgin or not,,,,not even a dr. so unless you tell, noone will know. your hymen can break from numerous things.
