Asking a query give or take a few OBGYNs?
She go to her drs in January, and the dr kept asking her if she was pregnant, and she said no, (she took a HPT and it be negative, and went to a clinic 2 weeks beforehand and it was negative) anyways...The dr made her pee in a cup and they said they be testing it for sugar...When the dr came fund in, he asked her again, about 5 times if she could be pregnant, and she again said no...
So the dr sent her for blood work, hormone, white/red blood cell count, everything he could cogitate of...
When she got the blood work done, noone called to her give or take a few her results, and the nurse from her drs office called a week following, and all she said was "If you want a unshakable OB/GYN, call me back tomorrow next to the name and I'll set up an appointment...
Why would they send her to a OB/GYN and not a gynocolegist?
(Her time of year is 3 months late still...And no word from the dr from blood work)...=S
Answers: Maybe there is more than one doctor that works within the office and that's why she is asking which one she wants??! Maybe she desires to find a new place to go adjectives together since it seems like this doctor could precision less about the patients
an OB/GYN is short for Obstertrician (pregnancy specialist) and Gynecology (Female reprodiuctive specialist). Your sister should jump see another physician. THere are severeal things which may cause skipped periods save for pregnancy such as stress, cancer (don;'t freak out), polycystic ovary syndrome, diabetes, thyroid, over weight, underwight, and a whole bunch of other things. Always rememebr it is YOUR body (your sister actually) and if oyu are not smug with your treatment is is YOUR duty to yourself to get different treatment.

I think she's pregnant and if the nurse does not call her fund then she needs to pocket it upon herself to get her results and find out what is going on.

Ob/gyns can see both pregnant and non pregnant patients. There are more ob/gyns available than just gyns, usually. The receptionist may just be accustomed to motto ob/gyn together, slip of the tongue.I don't like the way her doctor's department is not following up correctly. They should call her promptly with theory test results. Maybe she should change doctors and get someone better. A human being needs to be able to communicate clearly next to their primary care provider. They need to be on matching team.
I would suggest going to another dr's office, They might be similar to the clinic I went to that rotates drs so your not neccesarily going to get one and the same one each time which sucks. Most gynecologists are OB drs too, I had equal problem with my periods and the dr realize very soon I wasn't pg thru a blood test he didnt push the issues he freshly gave me a ultrasound that showed that I had pcos which can produce your periods to be very irregular sometimes you can stir up to six months without having one. The condition is call poly cystic ovarian syndrome now I am not saying she have this but if the reults come back as negative again she should markedly find out what is going on and try to go to one that she feels comfortable near.
