Zithromax - diarrhea side effects?


I have vaginal burning and adjectives the swabs are coming up negative. The gynocologist said that sometimes minor infections don't show up contained by the swabs but are fixed by zithromax. I am a little upset about taking zithromax since I own had chronic diarrhea for 5months which is one and only starting to clear up now and I enjoy heard that zithromax can make happen chronic diarrhea. Has anyone else experienced problems with chronic diarrhea (or stomach cramps which I hold also got) when taking zithromax? Please answer, I'm too scared to steal it without finding out more.

Answers:    Drugs.com list the the two side effects that you are having as human being "less serious" and ones that should be discussed near the physician without interrupting your dosing. It further states that if the diarrhea is bloody or liquid you discontinue taking Zithromax immediately.
* Get emergency medical assistance if you have any of these signs of an allergic hostile response: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, mouth, tongue, or throat.
* Stop using azithromycin and call your doctor at once if you own any of these serious side effects:
o diarrhea that is runny or bloody;
o chest pain, jerky heartbeats; or
o nausea, stomach pain, low disorientation, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
* Continue using azithromycin and consult with your doctor if you enjoy any of these less serious side effects:
o mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or stomach spasm;
o dizziness, tired feeling, or headache;
o vaginal itching or discharge; or
o mild itching or skin reckless.
* Side effects other than those tabled here may also occur. Talk to your doctor just about any side effect that seems unusual or i.e. especially bothersome.


* Do not use azithromycin if you have ever have an allergic reaction to this prescription or similar drugs such as erythromycin (E-Mycin, Ery-Tab, E.E.S.), clarithromycin (Biaxin), or other macrolide antibiotics.
* Before taking azithromycin, tell your doctor if you own:
o liver disease;
o kidney disease;
o a heart rhythm disorder; or
o a history of Long QT syndrome.
* If you have any of these conditions, you may not be capable of use azithromycin, or you may need a dosage adjustment or special test during treatment.
* FDA pregnancy category B. This medication is not expected to be harmful to an unborn infant. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment.
* Do not take this medication lacking telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a babe.
