What are ovarian cysts?
Answers: they are cysts that are hooked/connected to one or both of your ovaries. Most of the time they are fluid bursting and will burst/go away on their own.
Your OBGYN can sometimes feel them when he presses on your lower belly. He can also check for them with an ultrasound. They can be itchy if they burst. Also, if they get over 4 cm they usually remove them by surgery.
I have to get my vanished ovary removed because of one that was the size of a ping pong orb.
I also have a couple of smaller ones on my other ovary. But the accurate thing is, I've lost 45 pounds contained by the last 6 months and those cysts own shrunk and gone away by themselves.
(I had follow up ultrasounds every few months to check on the size of them) Now I don't enjoy to go backbone for a year for my regular PAP test.
So, give an account your friend to have her OBGYN check her and see if she have them. Tell her not to worry, its amazingly common for women to grasp them. Plus, I was told that they aren't cause by anything and most women can't even tell they own them.
I have one of those...
It's when the egg doesn't release completely and stays on the ovary while building up a sac of fluid.
The cysts usually travel away on their own, everybody gets them, but sometimes they stay and find bigger and bigger. They can sometimes twist and wipe out your ovary... and sometimes require emergency surgery to get them removed. If they're doomed to failure enough, they return with worse with exercise and inflict sever cramps and such around the time of your period. They can also end in pain during pregnancy.
Not fun.
