The Nuva Ring, any comments?
Anyone else experience this? I'm considering getting rid of it and trying something else. I just enjoy to accept that any birth control method have side affects : (
Answers: That thing made me have a feeling aggressive, bloated and just feel icky. While all birth control have side effect, you can try tons of things to find side effects you can deal beside. I've been inquiring for several year...I am currently looking into the copper IUD, I am so over the hormonal mess.
Good luck, don't let some stupid ring ruin your go.
I preferred the pill stick with the pill...its be here for years! i dont trust this new stuff!
i tried it for a month and despicable it. i went right rear to the pill. its annoying having to remember everyday to rob it. but that ring was horrible. i also found that my appetite changed, and it a moment ago seemed approaching there be too many things wrong beside it.. Most birth control methods say that you will gain solidity as a side effect. What they don't tell you is that the bulk gain is due to the fact that it make you eat and get through and eat. I've gain a lot of immensity due to being on depo.fortunately I don't really care roughly gaining consignment.
I tried it a few years ago but my hubby said he could feel it and I be spotting too much. So I got rotten of it. I was on the Depo-vera shot for three years but I gain a lot of substance. I stopped that and lost the weight. I have my tubes tied after I had my twins. I hear that the IUD works well (3-5 years) next to small side effects and it is reversible. I was on it for four months, and have an infection each month...have never had one prior. Plus I ate ALL the time. I like the convenience of not taking a pill every day, but I don't feel it was worth that. I newly recently get put on Yaz instead.
Sounds like you should try something else. I tried it for a month and get a UTI. Hmmmm everyone responds differently to different hormones, and the Nuvaring isn't any different. Any hormonal birth control can increase your appetite, but YOU control what you eat, so put away lots of veggies, fruits and whole grain. The Nuvaring in my experience in actuality seems to result in less side effects that the pill, due to smaller quantity circulating hormones. Actually the ring is coated with a special antibacterial agent that can lessen the number of infections in the vagina, but again, everyone responds differently! Also, if the itching basically began it may be from a yeast infection which wouldn't be from the Nuvaring, so I would try an OTC antifungal, close to Monistat or miconazole (generic). If your moods are a little rotten it may be due to stress (which all of us women hold too much of in our lives), but again it could be due to the evolution in hormones. If it is from the ring, next you need to furnish it at LEAST 3 months to see if it resolves on it's own. Changing methods often also have it's risks (like unintended pregnancy). Yes, all methods can own side effects and only you can want which one is right for you and your partner! If you are considering changing methods, produce sure you take the ring out at the fall of the cycle (so you don't get 2 period in a month) and see your midwife (or other provider) for a different method. Be sure to discuss ALL the side effects you regard as may be related to the ring, and find out what method would be best for you!
