I have an IUD inserted yesterday and of late wondered if any other women who have this can transmit me?
Answers: Yes, this is normal. I have cramping for a couple of days after getting my IUD inserted. I took Advil, and waited it out. I have a Mirena.
"You may have uterine cramps (like menstrual cramps) or low backache when the IUD is inserted, and possibly for a few weeks after insertion. With the levonorgestrel IUS [Mirena] you will likely own much lighter periods or none at adjectives. With the copper IUD, you may have increased menstrual flow and cramps, but this usually lessen after the first few months, as your uterus gets used to the IUD. You can relieve any discomfort by over-the-counter medication, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, and Nuprin), or naproxen sodium (Aleve). Some women have spotting or bleeding between menstrual period with the IUD."

Good luck near your IUD. If you can't stand it after a few months, having it removed should be a simple process.
