What is a d & C?

What is it in regard to women's health? is it a procedure?

Answers:    Basically it is a procedure that they do on you when you hold a miscarrage. They probably do it for other reasons as in good health. I had one done a few months ago for a blighted ovum. They simply, knock you out, dialate your cervix and clear everything out.
Dilation and curettage. It is a type of dilation and evacuation. It is most commonly known as a method of abortion, usually of an early-stage pregnancy, but it is also used to remove deceased fetal tissue after miscarriages and to resolve uterine bleeding issues.

"Dilation" refers to the opening of the cervix. "Curettage" refers to the use of a curette, a metal rod next to a sharp loop on one end, which is used to remove the contents of the uterus or tissue token.

As an abortion, dilation and curettage is slightly more dangerous than a vacuum aspiration abortion, and so it have fallen out of favor surrounded by parts of the world where vacuum aspiration is available.

Here are some links to wikipedia and Planned Parenthood. However you touch about it politically, P&P is detailed and medically accurate.
It is NOT solitary used for abortion. It is also used to take scrape of the womb to send stale to check for disease or changes surrounded by the cervix. It is also used after a miscarriage if your body does not pass everything...
